Fresh Meadows is a lovely residential neighborhood in northeastern Queens. Fresh Meadows borders Cunningham Park, Union Turnpike, St. John's University, and South Flushing. Public transpertation access includes NYC Transit bus lines Q17, Q30, Q31, Q46, Q88 and QM1. However, Fresh Meadows is not considered a major transportation hub since no New York City Subway or Long Island Railroad stations are located within Fresh Meadows.
The largest Catholic high school in the United States, St. Francis Preparatory School is located in Fresh Meadows. Public schools include Francis Lewis High School, George J. Ryan Middle school, P.S. 26 Rufus King school, and P.S. 173 The Fresh Meadows School. St. John's University, one of America's leading Catholic universities is located in Fresh Meadows on Utopia Parkway.
